S’Mores In A Jar

S'Mores In A Jar

S'Mores In A Jar

S’Mores are not just for Christmas! These yummy treats are eaten all year at our house. This is our recipe for S'Mores in a Jar. I like that our little ones get to help by crushing the graham crackers. Who doesn’t like to smash up things?

So, while these are not made over the fire pit; they are delicious. Personally – I like these just as much and even more when it’s cold and wet outside.

This recipe is for one Mason jar.

Ingredients:

1 quart size Mason Jar with lid and ring
10 Graham Crackers – about 1.5 cups crushed
1 cup Mini Marshmallows*
1⁄3 cup Brown Sugar, packed
1.5 cups Chocolate chips or Milk Chocolate Candies

Directions:

Crush graham crackers in a freezer bag. This is a great job for the little ones!
Place graham cracker crumbs in your Mason Jar. Tap to pack down or press with a smaller jar
Arrange Marshmallows in layer
Press down the brown sugar over marshmallows
Add chocolate chips or Milk Chocolate Candies
Seal Mason Jar with lid and sealer ring

Create a cute tag with the following directions:

In a large bowl, combine contents of this jar with 1 stick melted butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/3 cup milk. Stir to mix well.

Place in an 8×8 or 9×9 greased baking pan and bake for 15 minutes on 350.

* Change up your S'Mores when you can get seasonal Marshmallow Candies. Just line the shapes up, facing outside and press the brown sugar in the center of the jar to keep the marshmallows standing up. When you are ready to bake, just cut up the marshmallow figures with scissors and bake according to above directions.

This is such a wonderful idea, and smores are soooo tasty!!!! I love that you can put this in a nice mason jar and maybe decorate the outside a little bit and use it as gifts for teachers, mail delivery person, etc. It is such a wonderful and hand made gift, yet nothing too cumbersome to put together. Thank you for sharing!

Thanks so much for the Wonderful Recipe S’Mores In A Jar! I love the idea of gifting to people on certain occasions with cookies, bread, etc. in a jar! I think it’s a wonderful homemade gift to give! I generally make a whole lot of different cookies at Christmas time and give them out to the neighbors. This Christmas was a very bad one for us and being so depressed, I didn’t make any cookies! I should have made them all cookies in a jar! However, my mind was on other things at that time! We joked about it later that If I would have given them cookies in a jar, they’d be like wow how lazy are you, you always gave us baked cookies and now you want us to make our own! LOL Thanks so very much for sharing your recipe For S’Mores in a jar with all of us! I honestly do appreciate it! Thanks again! Michele 🙂

My family loves S’mores! We eat them in the summer after we grill out before the grill cools down. The kids go out and roast their marshmallows over the hot coals. You’re right, these would be perfect for a rainy day when we can’t go outside to make traditional S’mores. Looks yummy!
